Fire photo shoots

Shooting by
firelight

Live fire as the only light source, fast glass and haze in the backlight. An hour and a half on the coast and you have a finished series of portraits.

Sessions from 450 ₾

How it looks

Light, location, equipment

We work at sunset and after it — through the blue hour and into the night, when fire becomes the main light source. Locations: the beach, the rocks, the boulevard, and out of town on request.

You can be in frame with safe props — we show you the grip and an assistant is always beside you. Or we handle the fire while you stand in front of it, which for couples usually gives the best frames.

The gear: a lens that shoots by one wick's light, constant light for faces, and a haze machine — without haze the beam is invisible and the frame falls flat. You get edited frames and a vertical clip.

  • 60–90 minutes on location
  • 25–40 edited frames
  • One vertical clip for social media
  • Safe props for you to hold
  • A safety assistant beside you
  • We shoot at sunset and at night
  • Out-of-town locations available
  • Material within a week

How it runs

From a message to finished frames

  1. We pick a date and location

We work to the sunset and the weather. We'll suggest two or three spots and show examples shot there.

  2. We meet on location

We arrive with all the equipment. The first minutes are a warm-up so you stop thinking about the camera.

  3. We shoot

An hour and a half of work: different positions, different light, fire in frame and fire as the source. We show you frames as we go.

  4. We deliver

We select, edit and hand everything over within a week. The clip usually comes sooner.

Questions

What to wear, and the weather

Is it safe if I'm holding fire?

Yes. We provide prepared props, show you the grip and keep the distance, and an assistant with extinguishing equipment stays beside you. If you'd rather not hold fire at all, the frames are no worse for it.

What should I wear?

Dark and plain works best: fire becomes the only bright element. Avoid synthetics if you plan to hold props. Flowing fabric looks superb on a long exposure.

What if the weather turns?

We move to the next suitable evening at no extra cost. A light breeze actually helps — the trail comes out livelier — but rain and strong wind cancel the shoot.

When is the best time to shoot?

We start about half an hour before sunset and work until full dark. That is an hour and a half holding three scenes with completely different light.

Can you shoot for my business?

Yes, we film restaurants, hotels, venues and events. That is a separate format — write to us and we'll discuss the brief.
